Difference of Number Memory Ability in Order and Reverse According to Gender in Adults

Abstract
Objective : This study was conducted to examine the difference number memory ability in order and reverse according to gender in adults.

Methods: This research was based on 50 university students (men and women)in 20s from 2015 August to October of the same month. Memorizing Number Item (Reading in order and reverse) from Korean-Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (K-WAlS) was used on the targets. The target and evaluator sat face to face, selected 1 card randomly from the 5 alphabet cards, listened to the voice fIle played according to the alphabet, and then answered verbally. The order of process was from reading in order and reverse from stage 1 to stage 7. The final stage of reading in order and reverse and the answer rate were recorded.

Results : In the result of this research, when comparing the difference of memorization of numbers in order and reverse based on the adults in 20s, significant difference was identified. Also, it was identified that memorization in order was higher than reversed memory.

Conclusion : Different from advanced studies, memorization in order showed higher level than reversed memorization.
